Office Administrative Assistant – Maternity Cover

32 – 40 hours/Negotiable

Fixed Term/12month contract

Hours – 32 hours (Subject to an increase to 40 hours at a 3-month review)

Salary – £10 – £12 per hour dependant on experience

Chalfont Electrical Services is an established electrical contractor that provides high quality installations, design, maintenance, and testing services within the construction industry. We are based in Marylebone, London at an office within short walking distance of Bond Street, Baker Street and Marylebone Station.

Chalfont Electrical are looking to appoint an office administration assistant for a maternity cover post with an immediate start.

This position has the potential of developing into a full-time, permanent role in line with the business plans to grow in the near future.

Job Description

Support the business through providing and maintaining effective administration assistance including

  • Data Entry
  • Data Collation onto spreadsheets
  • Document control
  • Answering phone calls
  • Answering the door entry to greet visitors and monitor new deliveries
  • Copies/Scans/Printing and organising documents into folders
  • Assisting with any other administrative tasks management may require

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate for this post will be confident and enthusiastic with an outstanding work ethic and willingness to learn. The candidate must have the ability to adapt in a fast-changing workplace and respond well to direction from management. 

  • Be well versed in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Polite and well-mannered
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferrable experience in an office environment
